Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) provide
health care involving emotional and physical support to women
before, during and after childbirth. Nurse midwives focus on
education about pregnancy, the birth process and post-partum
period with the goal of empowering women. They are educated
in two disciplines: nursing and midwifery.
Midwife literally means "with woman" and
nurse midwives believe in being present throughout the labor
process. Nurse midwives follow a long established tradition
of dedicated, warm and competent care. CNMs have graduated
from an accredited education program and passed a national
certification exam. They work collaboratively with
physicians, who are available for consultation and referral
if necessary.

Adrienne George, MD
Dr. George comes to Florida as a native New Yorker who always knew life was better in the South. Her part Southern part Caribbean upbringing was bound to lead her to a warm, friendly and easy-going place. She started in New York completing her undergraduate years at Union College and went on to a SUNY school to complete a degree in Health as a Physician Assistant. After working as a PA in Obstetrics/Gynecology in the South Bronx, she pursued her life-time goal to become a physician at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. On a short trip back across the George Washington Bridge, she completed her Resident Training in Obstetrics/Gynecology at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.
