 Obstetrician Care

Although an obstetrician enjoys caring for a woman with perfectly normal pregnancy and delivery, their focus tends to be on the complicated pregnancy and the complications of pregnancy. When problems arise, our obstetricians have skills arising from years of training and experience to call upon. Their response is usually non-surgical but at times the safest course would be a cesarean section.

Our obstetricians view the normal vaginal birth as being the ideal in most cases and know skillful ways to help a woman toward this goal. They are also ready, however, to offer cesarean section when this seems to be the best alternative. Azalea obstetricians use all means at their disposal to help you have a healthy pregnancy and safely give birth to a healthy child.

Midwifery Care

Certified Nurse Midwives at Azalea work closely with the obstetrician and care for women and their families with an holistic approach. Nurse midwives are educated in all aspects of midwifery but tend to support the aspect that pregnancy and childbirth are a natural process.
